Facts About Rabbits

Rabbits are many things to many people. To a child, they may be a cute and lovable pet or stuffed toy. To a predator or a hunter, they are a common meal item. To a farmer, they may be his worst nightmare incarnate, a plague of truly biblical proportion that can destroy his crop, his livestock, and his land. One man's flower is another man's weed, and this was never more true than with the rabbit. Rabbits can live in a wide variety of environments including swamps, marshes, forests, grasslands, prairies, and deserts. Rabbits inhabit every continent on the globe except Antarctica. They are hunted by dogs, raccoons, weasels, foxes, bobcats, lynxes, hawks, and eagles.  And in spite of being on the menu of almost every predator on the planet, they not only survive, they thrive.

So, join us now as we explore the ways of the rabbit.
